About Southwoods

Welcome to Valley Southwoods Freshman High School! We're excited to work with you as your student begins high school. Our goal is to make learning both challenging and supportive, focusing on academics as well as character development. We follow the "Tradition of the Tiger" values: Thoughtfulness, Integrity, Grit, Empathy, and Respect.

At Valley Southwoods, there are around 720 students, all in the ninth grade. We believe in giving students a fresh start, helping them build a resume for success in high school and beyond. Our teachers are dedicated to providing excellent instruction tailored to the unique needs of ninth-graders. They create interesting and challenging lessons while offering support to help every student succeed.
